POSITION SUMMARY 

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing all operations associated with the multi-shift Inventory Control department to include Wrap Room and Returns departments. He/She will be in constant communication with the Operations Managers, Team Leaders, hourly Associates, and various other employees/departments. The Inventory Control Manager should have an in-depth understanding of the Inventory Distribution System, Microsoft Office software including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI. The Inventory Control Manager should have strong knowledge in inventory control processes such as developing/managing metrics, cycle counting, adjustments, order expediting, overflow capacities, utilization of bin space, and serialized inventory cycling. He/She should also have functional knowledge of the various other departments within the warehouse. 

The Inventory Control Manager should be able to answer any questions brought to their attention by the Associates while making the appropriate administrative decisions. Above all, The Inventory Control Manager should be an employee of excellent standing. He/She will hold themselves to the highest standards in which the WebstaurantStore requires. The Inventory Control Manager will enforce all company policies and standards to ensure fair and proper treatment of all employees/situations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Establish, train, and manage all procedures in Inventory Control, Expediting, Wrap, and Returns Ensure quality of receiving, stocking, and shipping processes through analysis and development of strategies for dealing with trends and training Inventory Control personnel on issue resolution and communication Communicate training opportunities and strategies to appropriate management Develop and maintain positions, projects, and reports to sustain and increase efficiency of warehouse operations Identify root causes to discrepancies with inventory to decrease company losses through accountability of product Consult and communicate with all facets of the operation to increase productivity and accuracy Drive productivity of inventory departments by identifying and solving problems and training personnel in day-to-day issues Motivate employees to attain the highest degree of excellence possible Establish goals for inventorying processes Maintain and monitor information systems to ensure quality and service throughout the operation Perform other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 

Superior verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy High emotional intelligence Strong people management skills Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations Ability to work in a fast –paced and deadline driven environment Exhibit analytical thinking and problem solving Strong knowledge and passion for company culture Ability to work at elevations of up to 40 feet 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal. 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 

May require occasional travel to other facilities within the region
