This position will analyze, research, design, develop, implement, and evaluate effective instruction, including course curricula and instructional support materials for trainings related to Department of Development Services (DDS) workforce development initiatives for Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) who provide services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in California. Coordinate with and review training materials drafted by employees and/or contractor(s) for the DSP University Training Program to ensure the competency-based tiered training curriculum and continuing education is in alignment with California’s Core Competency areas.

- Department Information
- The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
