**Worker’s Compensation Specialist**

Work Performance:
Provide worker’s compensation specialist consulting support within the identified labor category to include, but not limited to the following:

- Review, Certify, and File CA-1, CA-2, and CA-7 forms to the Department of Labor (DOL) utilizing AIRS or eCOMP filing system
- Provides worker’s compensation counseling to Injured worker
- Works with Office of Health Services to provide case management of claims (daily and periodic rolls)
- Communicates with DOL and others as needed on the next steps on a case - (e.g. request for closure, request for review).
- Review DOL correspondence and take necessary steps with DOL, Benefits Specialist, Injured Worker, and Injured Worker’s Supervisor
- Review medical evidence and take necessary steps with Benefits Specialist, Injured Worker, and upload documentation in ECOMP
- Audit continuation of pay and ensures correction of timecards as necessary
- Provides guidance to appropriate parties on Continuation of pay, Leave buyback, return to light duty, return to work
- Provides training to Benefits staff on WC case management
- Assists with the development and presentation of training to Unit supervisors and employees on WC case management.
- Assists with gathering and reporting on chargeback data

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Expert in Filing CA-1, CA-2, and CA-7 (at least 5 years)
- Expert in reviewing and auditing COP process/payments
- Expert in worker’s compensation counseling (including wage loss compensation, leave buyback)
- Expert in periodic roll and daily roll case management
- Expert in development of agency challenge statements, reviewing SECOPs
- Knowledge of Agency Query System, ECOMP/WEEDS portal at DOL
- Experience in MS Office - Excel, Outlook, Word

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
