SPS Consulting is looking to identify a Senior Compensation Specialist Consultant to join our team.

As a Senior Compensation Specialist Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in aligning Compensation programs with our business objectives, supporting organizational strategies for long-term success. Under the supervision of the Manager, Compensation, you'll ensure the delivery of robust compensation programs that attract and retain top talent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide expert advisory services to departments and HRBPs on all compensation matters, including reorganizations, fostering sound organizational structures.
  • Assess and address complex compensation matters, developing recommendations and guiding departments in implementation.
  • Lead in determining the need for new jobs or revisions to existing ones, collaborating with stakeholders to accurately document roles.
  • Conduct research on Best Practices in compensation, driving the development or enhancement of initiatives based on thorough analysis.
  • Take the lead on compensation projects, potentially leading cross-functional teams on related matters.
  • Advise management on salary administration policies and procedures, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
  • Deliver compensation training sessions on various topics such as salary equity reviews, enhancing organizational understanding.
  • Evaluate job classifications under Fair Labor Standards Act and EEO guidelines, ensuring compliance.
  • Conduct desk audits as needed to maintain accurate job assignments.
  • Analyze and report on employee salaries to identify and address pay trends and equity issues.
  • Provide expert advisory services to Senior Executive Team, Directors, and managers on complex compensation matters.
  • Prepare specialized reports to support informed decision-making.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in compensation, job documentation, job evaluation, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated creativity in providing innovative approaches to pay and performance.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in extracting and manipulating data from HRIS.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Email).
