Job Summary

Lead a team of diversely skilled professionals to manage the Performing Arts Service Center (PASC), which provides financial and business services in support of Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Department of Theatre, and Department of Dance.
- **Duties & Responsibilities**:
Service Center Leadership
- Oversee all the financial and business operations of the units that PASC supports.
- Lead, manage, and supervise the PASC staff including: managing the team’s workflow, including review and approval of work as appropriate; fostering and empowering a collaborative work environment, positive team dynamic, efficient work processes, and creative, effective problem-solving; providing resources and training to curate a successful team and provide career development opportunities.
- Maintain, implement, and communicate about up-to-date and effective processes in accordance with campus policy for areas such as budget development, account management, income and expenditure monitoring, and reporting.
- Work closely with the governing board for the service center to establish service level expectations and regularly assess service satisfaction.
- Collaborate across the units’ workforce to continually develop members’ business and finance knowledge and skills.
- Serve as main financial liaison to other campus and System units.
- Provide training and guidance for unit-based personnel for business-related activities.

Strategic Planning and Fund Management
- Work with Unit Executive Officers on hiring plans, budget plans, and other resource planning activities.
- Responsible for developing meaningful, timely, and accurate financial reporting to unit heads, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Work with Unit Executive Officers to identify, articulate, and plan for short-term and long-term financial needs as well as unexpected finance-related challenges.
- Manage unit gift funds and endowments, ensuring that funds are used in accordance with donor intent.
- Oversee management of any sponsored projects awarded to the units.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
- Three (3) years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience. (NOTE: A Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Minimum of two years’ staff supervisory experience.
- Work experience in business/finance for a college, university, or similar institution.
- Experience with University of Illinois business/financial processes.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Ability to prioritize and manage time and multiple projects simultaneously and to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to quickly learn new computer-based skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional, flexible, and respectful in all collaborations.
- Independent judgment and ability to help resolve problems as they arise, dealing with time pressures and changing or conflicting priorities.
