Union Payroll Analyst

Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, the Union Payroll Analyst will perform the following essential duties:
Essential Duties
Process weekly payroll and corrections as needed for union employees
Set up and process employee deductions for weekly payroll, including union deductions and liabilities, taxes, benefits, and wage garnishments
Create and submit reporting to all union locals as required
Conduct union payroll audits
Serve as a secondary processor for non-union bi-weekly payroll functions
Implement relevant payroll policies to include compliance with Davis Bacon and union rules and rates
Engage in critical aspects of payroll in a confidential manner
Participate in special projects and team training as assigned
Serve as the point of contact for field representatives and leadership
Independently research and analyze union contracts
Conduct weekly payroll audits during each processing cycle to ensure accuracy of execution of union contracts
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in processing union payroll required
Payroll experience in the construction industry is preferred
Experience in understanding collective bargaining agreements for accurately processing union payroll
Versed in processing multi-state payroll
Viewpoint (Vista) experience is a plus
Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Possess a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
Knowledge of wage and hour laws

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
Proficient in ERP
Ability to produce ad hoc financial reports timely.
Ability to maneuver through various software programs simultaneously.
Ability to use search tools, browsers, email, attach files, scan, and fax.
Possess strong oral/written communication skills.
Communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously with all internal and external customers to exchange and convey information.
Ability to work independently where judgment and discretion are applied.

Lift, handle, and carry materials, equipment, and supplies as necessary up to five (5) pounds.
Lift five (5) pounds floor to waist, lift five (5) pounds waist to shoulder, lift and carry up to five (5) pounds, and push/pull five (5) pounds.
Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
Coordination necessary to operate computers and office equipment with pushbuttons and/or touch screens.

Hours of Employment:
Normal business operation hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Compensation:
The employee in the Union Payroll Analyst position is an exempt employee under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"), 29 USC §§201, et Seq., and as a result thereof is entitled to accumulate or to be paid any compensatory time off or overtime.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
The position offers an attractive benefit package that includes medical insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, HMO and Health Savings plan options available), dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability plans on the first of the month following the date of hire. Paid time off and 401K plan offered upon reaching eligibility.
