For additional information on Fortress, please visit .About The PositionFortress seeks an experienced Compliance Officer to join the Fortress Legal and Compliance Department.  Fortress is a SEC-registered investment adviser (operating in multiple foreign jurisdictions) with approximately $49 billion in assets under management.  The position will be based in Dallas.The successful candidate will work with members of the Legal and Compliance Department and other departments and businesses around the firm on, among other things, the following major items: General administration of the Fortress compliance programConducting portions of the Fortress annual compliance review under SEC Rule 206(4)-7Assisting in the maintenance of the firm’s Restricted Trading ListReviewing trade surveillance reports of fund trading activityAssisting in the review of marketing materialsfielding questions relating to personal trading, private investments, gifts and entertainment and other Code of Ethics related mattersAssisting with various regulatory reporting and filings Conducting additional ad hoc compliance assignments, including periodic compliance testing and routine regulatory examinationsThe successful candidate will have:Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance7-10+ years of experience in a legal and compliance department at a SEC-registered investment adviser Superior work ethic, attention to detail, organizational and communications skillsSerious desire to learn, grow and develop as a professionalProven ability to multi-task, problem-solve and think criticallyTechnical proficiency with computer applicationsFortress Investment Group LLC collectively with its subsidiaries and operating affiliates is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, genetic information, protected veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by federal, state or local law.
