Job Summary
The Account Support Field Engineer is responsible for resolving HPE hardware and software infrastructure issues (servers, network, security, etc.) using systems analysis techniques and procedures to support HPE customers' data centers. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong technical and communication skills, who is willing to travel and work flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within IT infrastructure including HPE Enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
  • Provide installation and break/fix support, including component replacement, hardware troubleshooting, and operating system installation.
  • Perform data center support tasks with minimal guidance, demonstrating hands-on practical knowledge of systems and policies.
  • Manage operational tasks, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of datacenter support activities.
  • Perform high volume/low impact tasks efficiently and knowledgeably.

Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of storage theory, server layout, and network concepts.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow procedures for component-level repairs using ESD best practices.
  • Good understanding of general/technical aspects of the job and familiarity with various computer applications and software tools.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and capable of documenting daily activities effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain successful communication and working relationships with management and peers at all levels.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
  • Willingness to travel for out-of-state projects.

Education and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of technical experience and an Associate's Degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field; without a degree, two additional years of relevant professional experience (5-7 years in total).
  • Experience with pallet jack and data center server lifting tools is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate manual and power hand tools.
  • Linux, virtualization, and Windows Server experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must have your own transportation and be willing to travel from customer to customer as necessary.
  • Mileage, tolls, and parking (if any) will be reimbursed at Federal rates (does not cover parking tickets or other violations).
  • Must be able to work overtime during installations or rack/stack events, and weekends with advanced notice due to customer installation schedules.
