Digital Performance Marketing Manager (Activation)
The Digital Performance Marketing team is a center of excellence at BJ’s that develops, manages, and executes multiple digital marketing programs aimed at driving incremental revenue and memberships across paid and owned digital marketing channels.
The Digital Performance Marketing Manager leads a team of digital media specialists in executing and/or enabling digital performance marketing channels in collaboration with a digital agency as well as internal peers who manage the strategy and planning for individual digital marketing plans. This position is considered the owner of paid digital performance marketing channels and manages the relationships with large partners like Google, Facebook, and others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of internally managed channels like Push Marketing and Affiliate as well as externally executed channels in partnership with media agency.
- Enablement and coordination of creative, audience, data feed and tagging needs for outsourced channel execution inclusive of paid search, shopping ads, social advertising, and display.
- Manage relationships with key advertising outlets including Google, Facebook, Snapchat, and others.
- Budget tracking and invoice management for advertising outlets.
- Channel level performance monitoring, optimization recommendations and compliance with industry best practices.
- Foster and grow a test and learn pipeline in partnership with agency, digital analytics, and marketing stakeholders.
- Hire, lead, mentor and grow Digital Marketing Specialists.
- Remain current on new industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to further advance BJ’s digital presence.
- Participate in vendor, budget and invoice management in support of digital marketing functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 7 years of experience executing and/or managing digital performance marketing.
- Expert level knowledge of execution across multiple digital marketing channels.
- Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to frame complex analytical, digital marketing, CRM and technical concepts in a way that facilitates discussion and deeper levels of understanding.
- Ability to participate in conversations that bridge marketing, media and marketing analytics disciplines.
- Strong data interrogation skills via spreadsheets or database technology.
- Experience with an enterprise level analytics platform (eg. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
- B. S. in Marketing or a related field.
- Experience with task management platforms (eg. Monday. com, Jira) is a plus.
- Experience with Affiliate marketing and App Push marketing is a plus.
