SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Engineer II.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Job Description: SEACORP is seeking a full time Systems Engineer withexperience in Navy ECDIS and Voyage Management Systems (VMS) or on-board USNavy vessels preferably on submarines.A Systems Engineer, also known as lead systems analyst and a network engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products are often sophisticated systems that run on the web. Job Responsibilities include:
Integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.
Managing the development cycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and web application, including specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
Support the development of Navy ECDIS builds, new VMS and assisting with clarifying requirements and creating user stories.
Generate reports, tests, and other documentation surrounding the testing and developing of VMS and NECDIS.
Support the development of Navy ECDIS builds, new VMS and assisting with clarifying requirements and creating user stories.
Support the fleet via remote or in person troubleshooting of various navigation applications.
Attend meetings in support of long-term Navigation application (VMS, and NPL) developments.
Test and troubleshoot VMS/NECDIS in various baselines and builds, documenting all problems and actions taken.
Present information before various other groups and agency for cross agency problem solving and tracking.
Support the fleet acting as a Navigation SME, providing remote troubleshooting and trouble report tracking.
Build, test, and troubleshoot VMS and Navigation Laptops using delivered software.
Track various issues across multiple baselines and understanding the process of system engineering to resolve issues.
Understand the inner workings of BYG-1, and all its navigation inputs.
Take direction from government leads.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer. Ideal Skills and Experience:
Recent ET(NAV) experience highly desired as well as being motivated, autonomous, with the ability take task ownership.
Served as an Assistant Navigator or Navigation Division Leading Petty Officer on US Submarines.
Experience in maintaining and operating navigation systems including Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS), Radar (BPS) and Ring Laser Gyro Navigators (RLGN).
Computer literate, self-motivated, and able to utilize creative thinking in problem solving and troubleshooting.
Must be flexible and willing to work with a team to overcome problems. The desire to learn new subsystems, capabilities, and processes is a must.
