Role Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer II will engage in the research, planning, design, and development of mechanical products and systems, including instruments, controls, robots, engines, and thermal hydraulic systems for energy production and measurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and apply findings to the design and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  • Oversee Supplier Quality, focusing on suppliers of Pumps & Machinery commodities.
  • Interface with suppliers to audit and assess their quality management systems and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Initiate and validate corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues identified during supplier assessments.
  • Coordinate investigations into material-related non-conformances and collaborate with internal teams to establish part ordering requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree with no professional experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality engineering, inspection, auditing, or statistical analysis.
  • Prior experience in Supplier Quality Engineering is advantageous.
  • Project management and leadership experience is preferred.
  • Lean and Six Sigma training/certification is a plus.
