The Role

As a Welding Engineer II, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and designing welding techniques, procedures, and applications. You will employ engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes. Your role will include preparing technical documentation to implement waterfront welding processes, including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions. You will also create new or modify existing welding methods, techniques, and procedures to substantiate welding theories.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or a Master's Degree with no prior professional experience. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
