QA Lead- Food Lab- Swedesboro, NJ:
As the Quality Assurance Lead- Food Lab, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and elevating our quality standards across the entire plant supply chain. Your mission? To lead, innovate, and execute our Food Safety Plan (FSP) while providing expert guidance to cross-functional teams. You will be the driving force behind resolving quality issues, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Inspire: Supervise and mentor the Quality Assurance team, ensuring adherence to company policies, quality standards, and applicable laws. Foster a collaborative and proactive team environment.
Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Conduct root cause analyses and employ advanced problem-solving techniques to tackle quality issues, including product holds, customer complaints, and GMP-related concerns.
Metrics Mastermind: Track, report, and analyze performance metrics aligned with company objectives. Identify trends, develop action plans, and close performance gaps.
Quality Guardian: Oversee non-conforming material processes to ensure proper segregation and disposition. Partner with Production, Sanitation, and Warehousing departments to enforce GMPs and preventive controls.
Audit Champion: Prepare plants for governmental, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits (including SQF). Conduct internal audits on production and storage areas, procedures, policies, and programs to ensure compliance.
Continuous Improvement Leader: Identify opportunities to reduce waste, rework, and inefficiencies. Utilize statistical tools to assess processes and track progress, driving continuous process improvement.
Compliance and Calibration Expert: Act as the primary representative for QA lab equipment and oversee the calibration of plant scales and balances. Provide backup support for Compliance Analyst, Quality Analyst, or Quality Technician as needed.
Budget and Resource Steward: Review adherence to budget on a monthly basis and manage resources effectively to achieve quality goals.
