We are looking for a talented Machining Operations Team Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Power Systems Business Segment in Columbus, IN.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Supervises the daily activities of a production unit or teams. Responsible for the daily activities of a production team including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets. Works cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. Serves as group lead on projects and work assignments. Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities. Coaches and mentors team members.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience
Supervisory experience preferred.
This role will manage a team of 12-18 hourly union employees for a machining operation at Seymour Engine Plant (SEP). This role will have the responsibility to manage and develop a Continuous Improvement Leader (CIL) and work on a cross functional team with Quality and Machining Engineers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel along with experience in machining environment is preferred.
