Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor System Health: Regularly check the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles to ensure seamless system operation.
- Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Identify and resolve advanced system and operational problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive execution and performance.
- Communicate Technical Concepts: Clearly and concisely explain technical information to site teams and customers, fostering effective collaboration and issue resolution.
- Document and Report Issues: Accurately document and report technical issues to engineering teams, working closely with them to develop solutions.
- Train and Assist Operators: Provide comprehensive training and support to operators on system operation, including automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic vehicles, warehouse management systems, and IT systems.
- Backfill Key Roles: Effectively step in and support key onsite roles as needed, ensuring seamless system operation.
- Partner with Customers: Collaborate closely with customers and internal/external clients to drive business objectives and resolve technical issues.
- Escalate Issues: Assist in escalating production-impacting problems to support teams, ensuring timely resolution.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives for continuous improvement, standardization, and enhancement of the warehouse automation solution, focusing on production efficiency.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA, client, and customer safety processes and procedures daily, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, automation engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience with automated systems, including PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), Robot (ABB), and software languages such as SQL, Linux, Python.
- Skills: Excellent hands-on experience with assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems, with a strong ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Qualities: A high sense of urgency, a desire to learn new equipment, and a willingness to assist team members as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive to clients and other customer locations.
- Expense Management: Responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses for reimbursement on a bi-weekly basis.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
Work Schedule:
- Shifts: 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off; or 3 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off.
- Hours: Sunday - Tuesday, 5AM-5PM or 5PM-5AM (includes every other Wednesday); or Thursday - Saturday, 5AM-5PM or 5PM-5AM (includes every other Wednesday).
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000/year, commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefits package.
