What We're Looking For:
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all new business inquiries, handling walk-in customers and incoming calls related to personal lines insurance products. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in insurance sales who prefers an office-based role focused on converting leads rather than active outbound selling. Responsibilities:
- Handle all new business inquiries for personal lines insurance products, including auto, home, renters, and umbrella policies
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to potential clients based on their specific insurance needs
- Explain coverage options, policy terms, and pricing to prospects in a clear and concise manner
- Utilize your sales acumen to effectively convert inquiries into new policies
- Process new policy applications and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately
- Collaborate with underwriting and other departments to facilitate smooth policy issuance
- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and follow up as necessary
- Stay current on industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes
- P&C License
- CISR or CIC Designation a plus
- Knowledge of insurance products and usage including rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations
- Experience with multiple insurance carriers and products
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize with numerous interruptions
- Intermediate computer skills - knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and emails required. Knowledge of Epic agency management system a plus.
- This will be a base wage plus commission (rates depending on the lines of business written, but ranging from 10-25%)
