THE ROLE

The Enterprise Account Executive - Medical Device is responsible for building a pipeline of new business and increasing the revenue of the product portfolio by having a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical, biologics, and clinical research industries. In this role, you will source new relationships with innovative partners, launching decentralized, multi-center research studies to support customer research initiatives and make evidence-based, full cycle sales.

Role is hybrid, with a preference to be in the office part-time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Account Executives and Enterprise Account Executives to ensure high performance, collaboration, and professional growth. This will include regularly monitoring team performance metrics, providing feedback, coaching, and support to ensure success
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Oversee the development and management of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring that the team meets and exceeds sales targets
  • Support Account Executives in building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within prospective and existing client organizations
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Sales Operations to optimize sales processes and outcomes
  • Guide the team in navigating complex negotiations and decision-making processes to close new business opportunities effectively
  • Maintain an updated revenue forecast, regular reports on team performance, market trends, and other key metrics to Vice President of Sales

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare technology industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive a sales team to success.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Chicago based with willingness to work in office part-time
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually.
