Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Senior Assembler Technician on 1st shift to join them. You will report to the Assembly and Test Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Torrance, CA.

To be considered for the Senior Assembler Technician role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

High School Diploma, GED or formal training equivalency

10 years or more Assembly experience in the Aerospace industry

Experience performing precision assembly and test of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight actuators

Experience with precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and micrometers

Experience with diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures.

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to read blueprints

Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License is a plus

As a Senior Assembler, you will:

Perform various precision assembly and test operations on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical valves, actuators and systems.

Assembly activity utilizes a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and precision micrometers to obtain proper build requirements.

Test activity requires the use of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic test equipment, fixtures and tools.

Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies through the use of torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling and gauging.

Work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and oral.

Diagnose test failures and perform necessary rework in order that the unit will pass test requirements.

Clean components to required cleanliness levels.

Adjust or align through shimming and other means of mechanical adjustments specified by blueprint or other specification limits.

Utilize a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as: Dial indicators, calipers and indicating micrometers to obtain proper assembly-build requirements.

Hold problem units for engineering disposition.

Ensure that units are set up and tested in conformance with current revision letters and brings to the Supervisor's attention any condition that is abnormal.

Responsible for testing repair models for conformance to acceptance test procedures.

Order parts as necessary utilizing the RUR and WDS systems.

Responsible for proper documentation of parts replaced and work performed on data sheets.

Positively contribute to the teamwork environment in terms of productivity, initiative, cooperation, data collection and attitude.

On occasion, may be required to travel to customer facilities and service Moog hardware.

Salary Range:

Pay rate for this opportunity is $33.56-$40.67 per hour

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
