COUP D’ETAT, a highly regarded brand in the industry, offers a luxury product assortment at the forefront of innovative design. We are a hybrid showroom/gallery, servicing both the interior design trade and retail clients. This is a fast-paced, sophisticated and dynamic design showroom. We are known for breaking barriers in the categories of visual display, product curation, and customer experience.


We are seeking a seasoned sales person to work with our professional clients and retail customers in a creative and evolving environment. This highly motivated individual will work from our Los Angeles gallery, and will be responsible for both inside and outside sales. 


This full time position with benefits is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with a background in the luxury furniture industry. We are looking for a candidate that harmonizes with the dynamics of our team. Our no-attitude sales team truly works in unison to exceed company goals and to provide customers with an exceptional experience.


Along with your applicable work history or education, the ideal candidate will also have a genuine passion for luxury home furnishings and design, and embody a unique stylish personal aesthetic that fits within our company’s culture and brand.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop new and nurture existing key client relationships/accounts to ensure a continuous flow of sales revenue.
  • Generate sales leads through proactive outreach
  • Manage a weekly calendar of meetings with new and active clients
  • Gain an understanding of the sourcing and purchasing preferences for your assigned accounts
  • Develop an expert level of knowledge of the COUP D’ETAT brand, represented lines and artists
  • Provide assistance with customer service issues and other challenges with a positive, solution-focused approach
  • Assist with the maintenance of gallery aesthetics, organization, and company standards
  • Meet individual sales goals and other company initiatives set forth in the company’s sales plan

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in an industry related inside/outside sales role
  • Hands on experience with CRM software (Proficient in Netsuite or Salesforce a plus)
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or WordPress not required but a plus
  • Proven methods of effective follow-up to creating trust and strong relationships with your accounts
  • Highly proficient email correspondence and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and overcome barriers throughout the full sales cycle
  • Passion for interior design, art, decorative arts and/or architecture
