SCCI is seeking an Engineering Technician II/III to join our team. The successful candidate should be experienced in supporting engineering services to engagement system components and assemblies. This experience includes assessing technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and control personnel access to the lab and monitor respective building infrastructure as a whole
  • Utilize and maintain software applications within the Jira environment for lab scheduling purposes as well as infrastructure maintenance
  • Maintain daily Lab Reservation display system to provide accurate up to-date schedule information
  • Serve as scheduling liaison between the lab team and program members for programmatic needs
  • Coordinate with NSWC Dahlgren Base Support and occasional outside personnel with infrastructure maintenance repairs
  • Collaborate with Hardware Team to ensure all safety related matters in all the lab spaces are in compliance with OSHA and NSWC Dahlgren guidelines
  • Communicate to lab team all lab-related issues reported
  • Provide metrics as requested based on lab utilization and/or infrastructure incidents
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in applying engineering services to engagement system components and assemblies.
  • Must have experience operating and maintaining additive manufacturing equipment
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams and blueprints for application of advanced engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications

  • Agile Methodology: Workflows
