We are currently seeking a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Security Engineer with an active Secret clearance and specialized Validator experience utilizing eMASS. This role involves providing essential Validation Services and Sustainment Support for Systems/Networks RMF security authorization packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of RMF ATO for Information Systems critical to operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and document risks, perform security control evaluations, and record compliant and non-compliant security controls in eMASS.
  • Recommend updates to eMASS records.
  • Assist in the criteria and population of eMASS data inputs.
  • Collaborate on a Security Assessment Report with the SCA based on evaluation findings.
  • Prepare the SAR Executive Summary, summarizing all assessment results for SCAL review.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments of security controls, identifying known threats and vulnerabilities within systems or networks.
  • Support the update of the POA&M in accordance with assessment results.
  • Ensure traceability of vulnerabilities from initial findings to the POA&M.
  • Contribute to the ongoing monitoring program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in DoD Security Control assessments and DIACAP/RMF; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Current Navy Qualified Validator certification or the capability to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
  • IAM II Certification (CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO).
  • Proficient in configuring and executing ACAS/Nessus and other vulnerability assessments.
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of eMASS.
