DESCRIPTION: The Dean, Center for Public Safety is an academic leadership and management position that reports directly to the Associate Vice President, School of Business, Health, and Public Safety. This position oversees overall departmental operations in accordance with federal/state regulations, college policies, procedures, contractual agreements, and college strategic planning goals and objectives. Administers and coordinates all operational matters related to student learning, instruction, program, and curriculum development. Hires and supervises faculty and staff and serves as a liaison with internal and external constituents. Ensures accreditation compliance. Develops and manages budgets. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution. Five (5) years of demonstrated and recognized industry experience in the field of criminal justice, EMS, or Fire. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level in criminal justice, EMS, or Fire.
