Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure that the company's purchasing needs are met in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Identify potential suppliers and conduct vendor evaluations to ensure that they meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with suppliers, including pricing, delivery, and quality expectations.
  • Manage the procurement process, including purchase order creation, order tracking, contract management and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that purchasing needs are aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and quality requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Provides quarterly reporting to Senior Leadership Team detailing purchasing activity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in the medical device industry.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, preferred.
  • Ability to create data analysis tools and spreadsheets to manage data.
  • Superior knowledge of the procurement process for complex assemblies with multi-level BOMs, in a regulated environment.

  • Proven contract negotiation skills at a senior level.
  • Proficiency in sourcing strategies, RFQ management, cost analysis, and problem-solving.
