Responsibilities:

The role of the Instrumentation Specialist will be to assist and aid the Instrumentation team with all aspects relating to Flight Test Instrumentation installed on test aircraft including installations, calibrations, fault finding and troubleshooting, pre-flight checks and setups and preparing documentation.

* Supports ADAS (Airborne Data Acquisition System) system integration and test technology solutions ; approach prototype test issues with a unique combination of innovative test technology and practical manufacturing experience.
* Ensure that the sensors and recording systems are installed for required data parameters, and preparing the proper documents and report.
* Ability to read and interpret Instrumentation schematics to accomplish Instrumentation electrical system Installations on prototype aircraft.
* Must be capable of conducting on test helicopter Instrumentation calibrations and verify the proper I/O.
* Ensure that key parameters are displayed during the missions and he is familiar with the capability of the telemetry transmission system on the aircraft.
* Has knowledge of the technologies and the systems installed on board of the helicopters.
* Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the needs of his customer - the researcher - and translate this dialogue into the design and development of suitable hardware.
* General transducers environments : type, conditioning ,filters , sampling, calibration, IRIG 106 standard structure, standard buses structure for : ARINC 429, MIL-STD 1553, RS422-485, Ethernet, CAN bus, Microwave transmission, Working knowledge of Slip Rings

Requirements:

* Qualification (High school, Master degree, Bachelor Degree…): High school and tech school in avionic
* Level of experience (junior, expert, master, senior): Junior level experience
* Technical skills:

o Knowledge of typical Flight Test instrumentation equipment (i.e. TTC, ACRA, HEIM DataRec & IADS). Experience with telemetry operations, strain gauges, pressure transducers, accelerometers and potentiometers.

o Familiarity with electrical equipment for troubleshooting to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, watt meters.

o Hands on skills to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation wiring and components.

o Existing knowledge of Flight test practices and procedures

o Experience in aircraft experimental or production electrical operations.

o Experience in a flight test environment, some of which is on rotorcraft.

* Languages: English
* IT skills:

o ACRA KAM - KSM (set-up PCM onboard encoder)

o IADS ( display onboard visualization )

o Software documentation with MS Office applications and Corel Designer (drawing).

* Soft Skills:
* Other (Availability to business trip, special certifications ….): Some travel required, approx. 20%
