Responsibilities

In your role, you will:

* Provide direction and supervision to assigned department staff in areas of contracting, contract management and provider relations.
* Be responsible for evaluating and negotiating contracts with health plans and other payors on behalf of the Community Health System and practice management clients.
* Act as a liaison with Patient Financial Services, physician offices and health plans to resolve contractual issues and ensure compliance with negotiated contractual terms.
* Be responsible for building and maintaining productive and positive relationships with physicians, office staff, facilities, brokers and health plans.
* Assign, direct and review the work of subordinates, manage staffing and scheduling functions to achieve department objectives.

Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field required
* High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate and 7 years of relevant experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree requirement

Experience

* 3 years of experience in managed care, physician office or health plan environments required
