Marketing Manager

Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor Marketing Specialist/Coordinator and future marketing staff. Assign workload to ensure marketing responsibilities are managed.
- Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates.
- Make commitments on behalf of firm only under previously established guidelines.
- Establish programs to accomplish marketing-related aspects of the firm’s mission.
- Assist with marketing budget development.
- Assist with marketing plan development.
- Manage qualification, proposal, and marketing presentation activities.
- Work with principals, marketing and production staff to develop proposal sections and scopes of work
- Manage branding marketing materials including brochures, interview presentations, and various promotional items.
- Embrace strategic marketing and assist in new business plans to facilitate expansion of firm business.
- Advise and support principals with the positioning, implementation and realignment of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Coordinate firm’s exhibits and electronic presentations at conferences, seminars, and public speaking events.
- From time to time attend firm marketing events and assist in the overall preparation including groundbreaking, ribbon cutting or other events.
- Manage and communicate changes/updates made to the established standard marketing format and share samples firm wide to facilitate consistency of marketing materials.
- Coordinate and track projects which warrant being photographed. Coordinate the photo shoot with the Project Manager and professional photographer.
- Oversee collection and maintenance of project historical data.
- Assist in the management of the firm’s website updates.
- Coordinate the firm’s Social Media Champions for overall content to various platforms.
- Periodically research and recommend marketing software and equipment used to produce marketing materials.
- Assist in helping plan staff and special external events to include holiday parties, team building activities, and other activities as requested.
- Actively involved in professional and community organizations, including SMPS.
Relationship and Accountability:
- Reports to Managing Principal of Business Development and Business Operations.
- Required to have strong relationship with our Business Developer, Principals, and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, a related field or the equivalent in work experience.
- 4-7 years’ experience designing, developing and producing marketing proposals and other materials in a deadline driven environment.
- Good mentoring/teaching abilities and leadership/managerial skills.
- Highly competent in marketing theory and practice.
- Experience in the architectural / engineering / construction industry preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with successful outcomes in implementing strategic marketing and plans.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products including In-Design and Photoshop, Unanet CRM and MS Office Suite of products.
