This Outside Sales Coordinator position will consist of: Creating and maintaining relationships with contractors and distributors on house accounts, generating leads and making cold calls, assisting with sales-related marketing, assisting and managing outside sales representatives when needed. Includes extensive local/semi-local travel and occasional overnight travel. Base pay, plus commission on sales. Hybrid-remote/office/field with typical office schedule: 8AM – 4:30PM.

The coverage area would be the Midwest (MI / OH / IL / IN / WI / MN / West PA / WV / KY / MO / KS / NE / IA).

The position would require 1 - 2 months of training in the Kalamazoo, MI office.

Job Duties:
  • Work as a team with office staff and outside sales reps.
  • Cold calls/visits to contractors and distributors.
  • Follow up on sales leads (self-generated, as well as leads provided by others).
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships and contact records.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Meet with visiting customers.
  • Answer incoming calls and advise customers regarding products.
  • Assist with gathering information on projects that require submittals.
  • Perform virtual and in-person product knowledge training.
  • Extensive local/semi-local travel within the Midwest; travel outside of Midwest (monthly, on average, to meet with sales reps). Potential for international travel (Canada).
  • Book and manage flights, rentals, and reservations for overnight travel.
  • Staff tradeshow booths – with assistance.
  • Close sales successfully and honestly.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • HVAC/construction knowledge
  • Sales experience
  • Ability to travel for up to a week at a time

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of the following software: CRMs (Act), QuickBooks, Google Drive, Excel
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish helpful)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
