Summary: The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) is seeking an Administrative Services Manager (ASM) to serve as Program Manager for the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Program within the Communicable and Environmental Diseases and Emergency Preparedness Division (CEDEP). This position involves a hybrid work setup with up to 30% travel across the state. The ASM will manage program operations, conduct trainings, and develop reports while providing mentorship to MHFA instructors.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Program Manager for the Mental Health First Aid Program across TN regions
  • Conduct Mental Health First Aid training for Health Department staff and community partners
  • Develop grant-related reports and provide input on budget and work plans
  • Create written communications, reports, and visual materials for internal and external audiences
  • Mentor and support Mental Health First Aid instructors in assigned regions
  • Conduct outreach to recruit and train target populations like first responders and educators
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, with 5+ years of relevant experience in program or project management
  • Substitutions: Additional experience may replace education; graduate coursework may replace experience
  • Mental Health First Aid Instructor certification preferred
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience in grant or contract management preferred
  • REDCap experience preferred but not required
