Front Desk Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our dental practice in the Front Office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients as they enter our office, making them feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Answer and return incoming calls in a professional manner, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment book.
  • Perform check-in procedures; obtain appropriate signatures for required documents.
  • Assist the doctor in getting patients to understand and accept the recommended treatment and subsequently coordinate the treatment plan to work for both the patient and the dental office.
  • Monitor/track Broken Appointments.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims for treatments such as EOBs or pre-determination.
  • Communicate and develop treatment plans and options to patients in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that they have a complete understanding of their treatment options.
  • Monitor patient progress and follow up on treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans, progress, and insurance claims.
  • Assist with billing and financial management for patients, collect payment from patient in the form of cash, credit card or check.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience in a dental or healthcare setting, with a focus on front desk and treatment planning coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge in Dentrix is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and billing processes is a plus.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

This is a part-time position with possibility of full-time in the future.
