Boston While Black, Inc. (BWB) is the leading connector to community and culture for Black people in Boston. We are creating a deep sense of belonging for Black people that transforms where they live, work, and play. BWB hosts a digital and in-person membership community where our members can access curated resources and connections to create the city they want to live in. We partner with companies and institutions, giving them an authentic edge to champion and invest in the Black experience. Boston While Black also curates annual signature public events that redefine the regional narrative about the presence and impact of Black communities.
Business Development & Sales:
- Revenue Plan: Develop and execute a strategic revenue plan that achieves goals and grows market share.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth and expand BWB's reach.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy, including prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.
- Sales Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve revenue goals.
- Account Management: Develop and implement processes for customer success staff to deliver exceptional service to BWB's members and corporate partners. Manage key strategic accounts personally.
- Product Expertise: Deeply understand BWB's value proposition, identify growth opportunities, and address business obstacles.
Marketing Leadership:
- Brand Strategy Execution: Oversee the implementation of a new brand strategy, ensuring alignment with BWB's mission, vision, and customer experience.
- Marketing Campaign Oversight: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Integrated Marketing Manager in developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns and brand consistency across digital, social media, content marketing, email, events, and PR.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify audience needs, trends, and positioning opportunities.
- Event Sponsorship: Lead event sponsorship sales to drive revenue and brand visibility.
- Marketing Performance: Won and drive the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and inform strategic decision-making.
- 8-15 years of experience in marketing, business development, and/or sales.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through successful marketing and business development strategies.
- Experience managing teams across marketing, sales, and account management, with a focus on strategic partnerships and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills, with the ability to forge and maintain high-level partnerships.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CRMs, and analytics platforms.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, effectively conveying the company’s vision to diverse audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment focusing on strategic execution.
- Experience with membership-based or community-driven companies.
- Understanding of and passion for creating partnerships that center on the Black experience.
- Familiarity with the Boston market or similar urban environments.
