Position Summary: To maintain compliant Rates and Forms system. Working with Rates and Forms Director, Corporate Legal, Accounting, Audit and Agency field operations to ensure by state that we have a compliant and competitive rates and forms offering. Working with corporate legal on maintaining good relations with state DOI's and rating bureaus. Staying up to date with regions as to changes, additions or deletions in state rules and requirements. Be available to assist Corp legal and accounting in state audits, i.e. FRUB and market conduct exams. Administer Rate verification System and Rate Calculator (Title Hound). Working with IT, regions and agents on maintaining the system.

Essential Responsibilities:

Rates and Forms Filing Process-

  • To take in all form changes request from ALTA, States, Rating Bureaus field, and upper management. Working with National Underwriting, Corporate Legal and upper management for approvals and working with National R and F Director in processing approved form filings.
  • For rates to get from requestor all information as to what rate request, purpose of etc. Making sure that all potentially affected business units are aware and knowledgeable as to impact of rate changes.
  • Work with accounting and regions and National to determine economic impact. Be available to assist region with actual submission to state if state rules require explanation and analysis for approval. Prepare rate request to deliver to R and F Director for submission.
  • Work with Underwriting and Regional Counsel for final testing and verification of rate formulas and rate rules. Making sure all is correct after ingesting into WLTIC rate verification and calculator system.
  • Work with IT for submission of approved rates to Vendor software companies for integration into their TPS's. Working as liaison between WLTIC and vendors to track and monitor progress and getting rates and forms into TPS's as quickly as possible. Dealing with R and F Director and vendors on trouble shooting issues.

Rate verification and Calculator (Title Hound) administration:

  • Conduct Rates and Forms INTERNAL audits to assure compliance with state approved rates manuals are available to our users.
  • Working with the regions, audit and agency maintain systems performance. Fielding errors and lapses in systems and working with IT on fixes and revisions in systems.
  • Working with Accounting, Audit and Regions on monitoring and auditing Agent rate usage and application.
  • Provide suggestions to regions in working to correct usage with the agents.

Education/Experience:

  • High School degree; additional five years professional work experience
  • Proven experience working in a professional environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Microsoft Word, Windows workspace applications, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to independently prioritize work
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Able to efficiently fulfill assignments in a timely manner and being responsible and responsive to same
