Job Summary

As the Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing our grant reporting, volunteer recruitment, and internship programs. You will also support logistical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our development initiatives. This position helps the Development team to fundraise and engage with volunteers in the community, ensuring the effective placement and success of volunteers and interns.


Responsibilities

  - Coordinate interns' and volunteers' recruitment, onboarding, team-building, and appreciation efforts.

  - Coordinate fundraising events, informational tabling, and program-related events.

  - Communicate with partners for needs, secure materials, and manage setup and breakdown of volunteer events

  - Recruit and manage volunteers/staff for event roles and ensure successful event execution.

  - Present publicly and represent Latinitas to small groups of volunteers

  - Design and enlist help for decorations, certificates, and signage for events.

  - Obtain donations and sponsorships for programs and events.

  - Leverage relationships with corporate employee affinity groups for contributions and volunteering needs.

- Manage grant reporting deadlines and submissions.

  - Create agendas, take notes, and follow up for Development and relevant meetings.

  - Perform other tasks as assigned by the Development Director and Development Manager.


Qualifications

 - Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack. Experience with BetterUnite, Handshake, and Canva is a plus.  

  - Commitment to youth empowerment and social justice.

  - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

  - Intellectual agility and problem-solving skills.

  - Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making skills.

  - Shows creativity in fundraising and event execution.

  - Ability to work with limited supervision.

  - A proactive and results-oriented approach to tasks.

  - Familiarity with the non-profit industry.
