Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAllegiance Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team at a busy packaging facility. This is a first shift position.
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient inventory control, and supporting the packaging operations by providing timely and accurate inventory data.
The Inventory specialist is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet ongoing production and distribution demands. This role involves overseeing the storage, and allocation of materials and finished goods. The Inventory specialist will work closely with production, sales, and suppliers to ensure that all inventory needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively, aligning with the company’s operational goals and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Control Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies without excessive surplus. Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track supplies, materials, products, and customer-stored inventories. Analyze inventory data to identify patterns, predict future inventory needs, and adjust levels as necessary to meet both production and customer requirements.
Cycle Counts: Organize and execute regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity. Develop and implement a cycle counting schedule that minimizes impact on operations. Analyze cycle count results to identify trends or issues in inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies and taking corrective actions as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in managing customer-stored inventories and conducting cycle and physical inventory counts.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a contract packaging or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
