You’ll work alongside a diverse team of talented engineers in our Sherman Oaks office and our offices in China and India, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. You'll design and develop products that directly impact people’s lives.

  • Lead the NPI water team to develop new product for both the residential and B2B water treatment market 
  • Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow standard office procedures through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • Draft reports, prepare plans, assist with specifications, and make preliminary equipment

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering; Master of Science in engineering a plus
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in the drinking water space, including planning, design, startup, and optimization for drinking water and reuse applications.
  • Be a team player, working across departments to support firm goals. Collaboration, consensus-building, working with stakeholder groups, sales and marketing, branding
  • Able to work late evening and early morning with our engineering teams, contractors, and OEM partners in Asia
  • Speak and write well.
  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills. Proven success in technical presentations, proposal writing, and public presentations.
  • Think strategically, finding and implementing improvements.
  • Accreditation in DFSS and DFM is desired.
  • 5+ years of experience creating complex 3-D models/assemblies using Solidworks, Pro-E, or similar software
  • Able to perform and utilize mechanical design hand calculations (material stress, deflection, forces, moments, fluid flow rates, pressure, o-ring squeeze) for upfront analyses to quickly guide the direction of design work.
  • Adept in the application of FEA & CFD to drive design decisions
  • Comprehensive understanding and utilization of best design practices for an extensive range of materials and fabrication processes encompassing injection molding, blow-molding, thermoforming, casting, machining, forming, bending, ultrasonic welding, hot plate welding, pad printing, etc.
  • Proficient in the functional specification of mechanical and electromechanical components, including pumps, valves, O-rings/seals, tubing/plumbing, solenoids, motors, etc.
  • Up to 10% travel domestic and at overseas OEM partners
