POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER specializing in WATER RESOURCES. This role is based in a dynamic environment known for its recreational offerings, and our office is conveniently located for easy access.
KEY PROJECTS: The successful candidate will engage in projects such as Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Water Distribution Systems, Storm Drainage Systems, and Potable Water Pump Stations.
ROLE SUMMARY: As a licensed Professional Engineer in California, you will oversee project management, including scope, schedule, budget, and business development. Your responsibilities will also include preparing engineering reports, analyses, and design documentation for a range of Public Works and Water Resources initiatives. Mentoring junior team members will also be part of your role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple civil engineering projects related to Public Works and Water Resources.
- Monitor project scope, budgets, and timelines to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control measures effectively.
- Utilize technical expertise to develop plans and specifications for water-related projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring project coordination and satisfaction.
- Guide and mentor project and design engineers on technical issues.
- Establish and nurture client relationships to secure new business opportunities.
- Engage in professional activities that enhance the Cannon brand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering with a focus on Public Works and Water Resources.
- At least 8 years of project management experience in relevant fields.
- Possession of a California Professional Engineer license.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D).
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in mentoring and resource management is advantageous.
