Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center (HNJH) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join our team.
Summary: The CEO works with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to establish and implement strategic direction, financial management and growth goals, ensures compliance along with positive member and provider experiences, and oversees operations. These efforts are all in service of upholding the hospital's policies and procedures, which are aligned with the overarching mission of HNJH. Additionally, the CEO actively cultivates a strong, consistent presence for HNJH within the communities it serves.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of financial practices, business development, quality, safety, and healthcare regulation normally acquired through experience and completion of bachelor's degree.
- Master's degree in health care, business administration or related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital operations. Critical access hospital experience preferred.
- Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to make tough decisions, as well as the ability to influence and energize staff.
- Possesses strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Possesses a strong understanding of finance, health care reimbursement, and care delivery within a rural environment.
- Possesses a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the environment/conditions/trends, throughout the healthcare industry, including regulation and public policies.
- Possesses excellent internal management skills evidenced by exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, organization, and time management.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
About Us: Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is a 25 bed critical access hospital with an attached 39 bed long term care facility and 4 rural health clinics servings Luce County and the surrounding area since 1965, the mission of Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is "Keeping the Patient at the Center of Everything We Do - Every Patient - Every Time." As one of the most technologically advanced, up-to-date diagnostic centers in the Eastern Upper Peninsula, we are able to provide a wide range of services.
