Responsibilities:

Developing Innovative Recruitment Strategies:

  • The Director of Attorney Talent Acquisition and Development will lead the creation and execution of dynamic recruitment strategies to attract top legal talent. This includes partnering with external recruiting agencies, leveraging social media, networking at industry events, staying informed about market trends, and understanding the key motivators for leading attorneys. Your role will be crucial in ensuring we remain competitive and secure the best talent for our open positions.

Collaborating with Leadership and Key Stakeholders:

  • In close collaboration with our Chief Growth Officer and the Talent Acquisition and Development team, you will oversee the entire recruiting, onboarding, and professional development process. You’ll ensure that all recruitment efforts are aligned with the firm’s culture and strategic needs. Building strong relationships with external recruiters, law schools, and internal stakeholders, you’ll introduce innovative strategies for engaging potential candidates and enhancing our recruitment process.

Supporting Attorney Development and Growth:

  • We are committed to fostering continuous learning and development. In this role, you will be the central figure in ensuring our attorneys have access to top-tier training and development opportunities. Working closely with the Talent Development team, you’ll design and implement programs tailored to the unique needs of our practice groups, helping our attorneys advance in their careers while aligning with the firm’s objectives. Your responsibilities will include organizing CLE courses, coordinating mentorship programs, and staying updated on the latest leadership training concepts, ensuring our attorneys have the tools they need to succeed.

Monitoring and Enhancing Recruitment and Development Outcomes:

  • This role requires a keen eye on key recruitment and development metrics. You’ll analyze data to identify areas for improvement, preparing regular reports to keep senior management informed and ready to address any challenges. Your insights will drive continuous improvement in our talent acquisition and development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in legal talent acquisition and development within a law firm, coupled with a deep understanding of the legal industry. Strong interpersonal, organizational, strategic, and communication skills are essential for building relationships with candidates and colleagues alike.
  • Success in this role will also require the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, handle multiple priorities, and stay organized. Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), innovative recruitment platforms, and other relevant technologies is also highly desirable.
