  • The Purchasing Assistant will perform administrative duties for the purchasing department to support the company operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Track and update MRP notes for daily receipts and releases
  • Review daily MRP and follow up with suppliers on late orders and pending order confirmations
  • Request and follow up with suppliers for missing/required paperwork (examples, COAs COCs, Packing Lists)
  • Daily ordering / re-ordering of non-stock items: lab supplies, shop supplies, equipment supplies and other
  • Track expiring materials for re-test or disposal
  • Destruction and disposal process for rejected, expired and waste materials internally and with contract waste disposal service

QUALIFICATIONS: Purchasing Assistant:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.
  • ERP / MRP system
  • Inventory control
  • Ability to follow purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills
  • Ability to perform all requirements independently with limited managerial oversight
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Microsoft Office

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Purchasing Assistant:
  • Associate degree or equivalent required
  • 1+ years purchasing for a pharmaceutical manufacturer
