Position Summary:

The Set-up/Receiver position at City Winery Pier 57 plays a vital role in the success of our events. They are responsible for setting up the venue prior to the event to make sure the team is in a position to set up stations and get ready for the upcoming event. They are also responsible for ensuring that the event ops team have all rentals and other event items needed for the event to run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires good communication, organizational skills, team coordination, and excellent time management to ensure the successful execution of private events.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the venue before and after the event by following the floor plan provided with tables and chairs etc.

  • Lift & move tables and chairs from the venue to designated storage areas.

Receive items delivered to the venue needed for events, ensure  that the shipments are inspected, sorted and stored in designated areas.

Take inventory of items received, track when running low to let manager know when they need to be ordered.

Receive rental orders delivered for events, organize and distribute to kitchen staff and place in appropriate space for upcoming events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This person is able to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Needs to be able to lift up to 50lbs 

Requires mobility, prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching

Team-orientated and positive attitude

Strong communication skills are a must.
