TITLE: Director of Domestic Business Development

REPORTS TO: CEO / CFO

LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

SALARY: TBD based on experience and level of candidate.


REVA is the largest fixed wing Air Ambulance Operator in the Americas and operates 24/7/365. From marooned hikers to critically ill patients in a foreign land or a remote area of our United States, Reva provides medical transport service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, worldwide. When patients need care that cannot wait or normal travel cannot accommodate, they call REVA.


Job Summary

Responsible for building, managing, and executing domestic outreach sales plan to US healthcare systems in collaboration with executive management. Focused on growing domestic market share by targeting specific customers where REVA has resources available, securing agreements, (Preferred Provider Agreements) and growing existing relationships with US hospital systems and commercial payors. Focus on increasing domestic hospital case manager referrals.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Grow business by selling REVA air medical services to targeted customers in the sales area. Achieve annual REVA’ KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Cultivate opportunities to sell REVA’ value-added services to customers within US hospital systems.
  • Develop a robust, US Hospital/Health Care System book of Business, with the objective of direct conversion to new service agreements, over time may expand to include other markets and opportunities.
  • Works closely with REVA executive leadership and sales teams, providing timely updates regarding business opportunities, including competitive market intelligence.
  • Collaborate to ensure the area has a specific business development strategy to grow existing accounts to meet KPI expectations.
  • Accountable for detailed knowledge of market dynamics, such as, competitor activity, hospital service line changes, opening or closing of hospitals, competitor sales strategies, billing rates & aircraft type etc.
  • Coordinate with team for customer service recovery.
  • Monitor daily patient transport activity and understand volume trends.
  • Attending conferences and regulatory meetings along with local government affairs involvement.
  • Communicate closely with other REVA disciplines, to coordinate daily activities and Outreach Education programs that support the business plan in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Ensure internal customers understand the business development strategy, have marketing resources and talking points for important sales initiatives.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Additional Job Requirements

  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Ability to support off hour emergency support phone line.
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 50%
  • Subject to applicable laws and REVA’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow REVA’ employment practices and policies.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university three to five years related experience and/or training within aviation or medical and medical transportation services; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ sales experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of health care and air medical industries.
  • Experience in medical transportation services or health care business development/sales preferred.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and mapping software.
