About the Role:

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full-Time Accounts Payable Clerk to be an integral part of its Accounting Department. This position will require a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask and meet daily & various deadlines.  

Essential Functions:

  • Process and compile weekly accounts payable.
  • Process large volume of daily invoices, credit memos and statements.
  • Review and reconcile weekly and monthly statements from vendors.
  • Communicate and follow through with vendors for inquiries, payment and accounts payable issues.
  • Process and compile transfers of merchandise within the company.
  • Compile weekly accounts payable related reports to management. 
  • Compile and update accounts payable procedures periodically.
  • Other accounts payable duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Clerk.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of invoices and various deadlines on a weekly basis.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and efficient time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Local candidates only.

  • Ability to mentor current and new Accounts Payable team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with solutions presented to management.
  • Strong organizational skill with ability to prioritize multi tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to cooperate and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 10 lbs.
  • Standing: Up to 2 hours per day
  • Seating: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking: Up to 2 hours per day.
  • Reaching: Up to 2 hours per day
  • Please be aware that you may be required to wear Covid-19 related PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as mandated by Company Policy.

Travel Requirements:  

  • Independent and reliable local travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay range:

$27-$28.50/hour
