Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Processing: Organize and coordinate the disbursement of incoming invoices and statements for processing and approval.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and develop the accounts payable team to ensure timely performance of daily tasks and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to implement efficient processes and improve payment and recordkeeping procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Implement and perform proper GL coding procedures for incoming invoices and vendor credits, and ensure accurate vendor setup and documentation.
  • Payment Processing: Input invoice and payment data into the accounting information system, process payment runs, and coordinate ad hoc payment requests.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between vendor information and system data, and advise management of issues related to data.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular data verification processes to ensure proper recording of vendor account and payment information.
Requirements
  • Leadership Skills: Possess a leader mindset to guide and support team members in their work.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to utilize similar programs to implement better processes.
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent; five to ten years previous experience in leadership roles.
Work Environment

This role operates in a clerical, office setting and requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
