The IT Technician will report to the Director of Accounting and our outside IT specialist. The position will be responsible for the company’s server maintenance, technology management and repair, management of in-house IT security, training of employees in the safe and advisable use of IT/technology to protect the company’s assets, as well as be available to be sourced out to the field to help with project specific IT tasks.


Essential Functions

· Assist outside IT with maintenance of essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

· Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Adobe, and Windows Server

· Audit systems and assess their outcomes

· Preserve assets, information security, and control structures

· Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

· Track and maintain hardware and software inventory (laptops, cellphones, etc.)

· Development, communication, and enforcement of Excel’s IT policies & procedures.

· Perform quarterly trainings with employees to ensure compliance with Excel’s IT policies

· Work on projects for the trades (mechanical, telecommunications, etc)

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science

· Professional certification

· Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring

· Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions

· Strong creative and analytical thinking
