Role Summary

The Head of Technology Services will oversee the Information Security, Infrastructure, and Service Desk divisions at Heaven Hill Brands. This leadership position will ensure that these functions align with the company's strategic objectives and operational needs, integrating these areas to develop comprehensive solutions, and enhancing maturity based on industry-standard frameworks. The goal is to minimize risks to the organization, elevate user satisfaction, and maintain an efficient operational model.

The Director will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, external partners, and IT colleagues to align technology and process solutions that guarantee security, performance, stability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and availability. Ideal candidates will possess a strong focus on business outcomes and a diverse background in senior leadership roles. A solid understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT service management is essential for guiding the organization towards its envisioned future state. Additionally, expertise in financial management for IT departments, including expense and capital planning, is crucial for success. The leaders of the designated IT functions will report to this position, which in turn reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT peers to provide necessary leadership for achieving annual and strategic objectives.
  • Direct the strategy, execution, and operations of the technology infrastructure.
  • Design, plan, and implement a comprehensive information security program.
  • Guide the service desk team to ensure customer interactions meet established SLAs, enhancing the end-user experience.
  • Align strategies and roadmaps with business goals.
  • Collaborate on digital infrastructure solutions, applying modern architectural practices in line with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Manage capital and expense budgeting, performance tracking, and both short- and long-term forecasting, demonstrating a track record of delivering ROI.
  • Assess current and future maturity levels in functional areas and create roadmaps to achieve these objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and standards across the infrastructure team.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing IT roadmap for systems management, ensuring alignment with budgeting processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or capabilities to address business challenges.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships to understand and plan for technology roadmaps and support services.
  • Ensure availability of necessary resources and skills for all initiatives.
  • Anticipate new skill requirements based on emerging technologies.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant IT services experience, particularly in Security and Infrastructure.
  • At least 5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in information security.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and cyber incident response operations.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including networking, computing, storage, enterprise and cloud security, and end-user technologies.
  • Understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with IT management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, CMMI).
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners and end users to reach consensus on technical directions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven history of developing and executing complex, multi-year strategies and programs.
  • Experience in budget and financial management for IT.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build business partnerships.
  • Superior organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong analytical foundation.
  • Ability to navigate high levels of ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in infrastructure and/or security fields (e.g., Cisco CCXX, CISSP).
  • Experience in establishing cloud operations.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and use a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
