Role Summary

The Head of Technology Services will oversee the Information Security, Infrastructure, and Service Desk divisions at Heaven Hill Brands. This position is pivotal in aligning these functions with the strategic objectives and operational needs of the organization, integrating these areas to develop comprehensive solutions, and enhancing maturity based on recognized industry frameworks to significantly mitigate risks, enhance user experience, and ensure efficient service delivery.

The Director will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, external partners, and IT colleagues to integrate technology and process solutions that guarantee security, performance, stability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and availability. Ideal candidates will possess a strong focus on business outcomes and a diverse background in senior leadership roles. A solid understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT service management is essential for effectively guiding the organization towards its envisioned future state. Additionally, a comprehensive grasp of financial management within IT contexts (including expense and capital planning, tracking, management, and forecasting) is crucial for success. The leaders of the respective IT functions will report to this position, which in turn reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT peers to provide the necessary leadership to achieve annual and strategic objectives.
  • Direct the technology infrastructure strategy, execution, and operations for the organization.
  • Design, plan, and implement a comprehensive information security program.
  • Guide the service desk team to ensure customer interactions meet relevant service level agreements (SLAs) while continuously enhancing the user experience.
  • Maintain alignment of strategies and roadmaps with business goals.
  • Work within IT on digital infrastructure solutions, applying modern architectural practices, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Manage capital and expense budget planning, performance tracking, and both short- and long-term forecasting while delivering on return on investment (ROI) commitments.
  • Define current and future maturity levels required in functional areas and develop roadmaps to achieve these levels.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and standards across the infrastructure organization.
  • Establish a rolling 8-quarter IT roadmap for systems management, aligning with capital and expense budget processes.
  • Lead the assessment and recommendation of new technologies or capabilities to address business challenges.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships to understand and plan for technology roadmaps and support services.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources and skills to support all initiatives.
  • Anticipate new skill requirements based on emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant IT services experience, particularly in Security and Infrastructure.
  • At least 5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in information security practices.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and cyber incident response strategies.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies, including networking, computing, storage, enterprise and cloud security, and end-user technologies.
  • Understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with IT management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, CMMI).
  • Ability to collaborate directly with business partners and end users to build consensus around technical directions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing complex, multi-year strategies and programs.
  • Experience in budget and financial management for IT.
  • Excellent interpersonal and business partnering skills.
  • Superior organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong analytical foundation.
  • Ability to navigate and operate in high levels of ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
  • Certifications in infrastructure and/or security fields (e.g., Cisco CCXX, CISSP).
  • Experience in establishing cloud operations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and operate a computer; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
