SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a professional level social media creator who produces content that exudes positivity, friendliness, humor, and warmth to our audience. Candidates who are invited to interview should come prepared by having reviewed all the firm’s business social media pages and profiles and bring to the interview ideas and recommendations on how to improve our content and better engage with our followers. In addition, you must bring a sample of a 1-month social media content calendar you prepared for GOLDLAW This is a requirement of your interview. If you do not come prepared with knowledge of the GOLDLAW brand on social media, then the interview will be concluded.


SCHEDULE:

  • Full time hours Monday to Friday
  • On call some evenings and weekends for events coverage or participation

Requirements:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the diverse types of work that may be performed. Collaboration with other marketing team members on projects and events is a regular part of the job.

  • Create and manage our social media strategy and execute campaigns to support our firm’s growth goals
  • Post and engage with followers and commenters on behalf of the firm and various organizations that collaborate with our firm online
  • Plan and maintain weekly and a 12-month editorial calendar for the firm’s postings across several brands and platforms
  • Conceptualize, create, and manage content with stories that educate and entertain when posting about our involvement in the community, our accomplishments, activities, and events
  • Monitor competitor social media activities, local and national news events that may affect or interest our clients, and social media platform developments
  • Share best-practice knowledge with other firm team members on using social media to promote and grow our practice. Monitor trends and implement those trends – if relevant – on our social channels. Keep up to speed on pop culture, major news, and trending topics
  • Manage social media projects and tasks with our project management tools
  • Keep up to date and comply with our state bar’s guidelines on social media use by law firms
  • Find relevant influencers, conduct outreach, and align with them for the benefit of our firm.
  • Collaborate with the law firm’s culture team on covering in-house activities
  • Work with vendors ensure brand consistency, ensure all social posts are proofed and approved, and provides direction to the vendors and agencies to ensure posts are posted in a timely manner.
  • Manage virtual assistants who are working under your direction on creating or editing social media content
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Marketing Director
  • Maintain social media expenses, and send receipts to our finance department
  • Collaborate with marketing team members on content across all the firm’s brand channels
  • Attend and participate in all marketing, sponsorships, public events, and in-house employee events
  • Obtain raffle giveaways (prizes) and manage the budget for these items. Promote the giveaways for registrations, and display the winners in follow-up posts
  • Upload and organize all social media content onto our SharePoint storage system for future use and archiving purposes


CORE COMPETENCIES OF SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

  • Skilled at all major social platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, chatbots, etc.) and knowledgeable of what contributes to content performing well
  • Creativity and attention to detail is necessary for success in this role
  • Excellent writing skills are incredibly important in this role. You must have the ability to turn in clean copy with proper grammar and punctuation (you will be asked to submit writing samples and to take a writing and editing assessment)
  • A habit for meeting deadlines. You will have many recurring deadlines to meet.
  • Energy and determination to get the best compelling and interesting stories to share with our followers
