Role Overview:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through both inbound and outbound lead qualification. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads to pass on to the sales team. You will develop relationships with prospects, converting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQL). Utilizing our established techniques, processes, and tools, you will engage with potential and current customers and build lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers, generate new business opportunities, and manage leads through to booking sales demos with the sales team.
- Proactive Outreach: Exceed prospect outreach quotas through targeted and impactful communication. Seek new business opportunities in the market and reengage old leads who have not previously converted.
- Needs Analysis: Identify prospects' needs and suggest appropriate products or services.
- Consultative Selling: Provide a consultative approach to identify and address prospects' needs with customized solutions.
- Long-term Engagement: Establish long-term, trusting relationships with prospects and decision-makers to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
- Nurturing Campaigns: Execute strategies to nurture and qualify potential customers.
- Meeting Coordination: Arrange meetings or calls between potential customers and sales executives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to execute outbound prospecting campaigns, qualify inbound leads, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Market Research: Assist with market research and analytics to identify new business opportunities.
- Reporting: Report to the founding team with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to track progress and impact.
- CRM Management: Use CRM systems like HubSpot and Salesforce to maintain information on leads, prospects, and opportunities.
Success Metrics:
- Increased Lead Generation: Successfully increase the number of new leads through effective outreach and relationship building.
- Enhanced Sales Pipeline: Develop a robust pipeline of interested prospects, significantly contributing to the sales cycle.
- Expanded Market Presence: Proactively explore the market and re-engage old leads, expanding the company’s market presence and opening new growth avenues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in Lead Generation or Sales Development, preferably in the B2B SaaS space. Industry knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and lead-generation processes.
- Proficient in using sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, Microsoft, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.
- Confident and persuasive communicator with senior and middle management.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow continuously.
- Driven and enthusiastic, capable of delivering results in a professional environment.
- Highly organized with a methodical approach to planning workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to developing new business opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
