Human Resource Manager Job Summary

As a Human Resource Manager at Silverlake Psychology, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all HR activities, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and compliance with policies. From recruitment planning to employee relations, performance management, and beyond, you will be the key point of contact for HR-related matters. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining accurate records, providing guidance to leadership, managing employee benefits, and staying abreast of HR laws and regulations.


Human Resource Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR communications, reports, requests, and documents.
  • Create and manage recruitment plans aligned with Silverlake's needs.
  • Generate official internal documents, such as offer letters and new-hire information.
  • Develop and implement onboarding plans.
  • Maintain secure physical and digital employee files, including personnel documents, benefits information, and attendance records.
  • Initiate and manage the performance management process.
  • Make recommendations to Executive Directors regarding salary scales, increases, and bonuses.
  • Take a lead role in employee relations, including conducting investigation, disciplinary actions and addressing grievances.
  • Meet with leadership regularly for support, needs assessment, and relationship maintenance.
  • Attend interdepartmental meetings, collaborating with executive directors and leadership.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage related procedures.
  • Stay current on HR laws and regulations and suggest policy changes accordingly.
  • Manage and implement training programs.
  • Track PTO and implement harassment training.
  • Plan and train employees on HR processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support HR audits and contribute to the development of HR policies.
  • Oversee the implementation of performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and professional development.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs within the organization.
  • Process HR-related paperwork, including new hire documentation, changes in employment status, and terminations.
  • Create and distribute internal HR communications.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication channels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

What you need:

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.

· Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

· Knowledge of California labor laws.

· Certification from SHRM or PHR crediting agency preferred.

· Experience with Paylocity and Google workspace preferred.

· Proven experience managing Human Resources practices, policies, and legal compliance.

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

· Follows ethical guidelines and policies, including confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

· Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

· May require long periods of sitting and standing.

· Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
