Spartan Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Columbus, OH. We specialize in a unique logistics model: We own and operate our own warehouses, fleet, forklifts, and other key equipment. We have decades of experience in fast-moving inventory, especially food and beverages, and are veteran handlers of glass, paper, packaging materials, and more. With our staff of more than 300, we operate over 4 million square feet of warehouse space strategically placed throughout Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Kentucky, and Arkansas.


We are currently looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Columbus, OH. This person is a detail oriented and well-organized individual who oversees the management of products. The Inventory Control Specialist enters material data onto spreadsheets. They recognize and resolve quantity discrepancies, make quantity reports, and prepare extensive quantitative statements that assist with inventory control.


This is a Monday - Friday position. Hours are 7am - 3:30pm with occasional overtime.


What You’ll do as an Inventory Control Specialist:

  • Administers inventory control and maintains inventory records.
  • Responsible for cycle counting bin locations
  • Keeps detailed records of any changes in inventory and reports changes to proper departments
  • Conducts inventory inspections
  • Returns defective products back to the supplier or dispose of them according to company standards.
  • Regularly uses barcode scanner

Requirements:

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 1 to 6 months experience in an inventory role.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to perform basic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Familiarity with inventory control devices
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
