Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team at The Waterworks. This role is essential for ensuring the effective management of our inventory and purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the company's inventory management software to generate purchase orders and maintain precise inventory records.
  • Organize and oversee warehouse and storage areas to facilitate efficient handling and storage of materials.
  • Coordinate the delivery of supplies to various job sites as needed.
  • Engage in price negotiations to secure the best possible value for our purchases.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory for both warehouse and field operations.
  • Analyze vendor pricing trends and delivery schedules in relation to sales activities to time purchases effectively.
  • Develop strategies for stock locations and order picking to enhance workflow and productivity.
  • Implement effective inventory tagging systems using barcoding technology.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to manage the return of defective or excess inventory.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee the usage of RFS with inventory and identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain communication with technicians regarding their material needs, especially for special orders.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (4 points or fewer).
  • Certification as an OSHA Forklift Operator.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and/or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the plumbing industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
